Why OEM approval matters
An OEM-approved bodyshop holds the manufacturer's authority to perform structural repairs, paint refinish, ADAS calibration and (for EVs) high-voltage work without invalidating the vehicle's warranty. For prestige and EV vehicles, OEM approval is increasingly the only acceptable repair route — both insurers and customers expect it.
OEM approval is not a marketing badge. It requires named-technician qualifications, OEM-specified equipment (welders, jigs, paint systems, calibration tooling), and ongoing audit by the manufacturer's repair authority team. Approval is held at the specific site address, not at the network level.
Network OEM coverage by brand
Solution Repair Group's OEM approval coverage spans the major prestige, premium, mainstream and EV brands. Tesla approval is held at 4 network sites. BMW and MINI approvals at 6 sites. Mercedes-Benz at 5. Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, CUPRA and Škoda at up to 6 sites depending on brand. Porsche at 3. Jaguar and Land Rover at 4 each. Volvo at 4. Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroën and Stellantis-group brands at 3-5 sites each.
Per-brand site lists are published on each /manufacturer-approvals/{brand} page so insurers and customers can verify coverage in their region.
Warranty preservation
Most modern vehicles carry a 12-year corrosion / body warranty (Audi, VW, Škoda, Volvo) and additional EV-specific warranties on battery and high-voltage components. A non-OEM-approved repair on a structural panel or HV component is the single most common reason a manufacturer refuses a warranty claim later.
Every OEM-approved repair completed at a Solution Repair Group site is documented to the manufacturer's specification, with diagnostic sign-off attached to the job file. This is the documentation pattern that preserves warranty and protects the customer (and insurer's subrogation position) downstream.
EV and HV-specific approvals
EV approvals are stricter than ICE approvals because of high-voltage safety and battery damage assessment requirements. Tesla, BMW i-Series, Mercedes EQ, Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, JLR EV, Volvo EX, Hyundai IONIQ, Kia EV and Stellantis EV approvals all require IMI Level 3 (and in some cases Level 4) high-voltage qualifications across the technician team.
Solution Repair Group operates 21 EV-capable sites with documented IMI Level 3 high-voltage qualifications and OEM diagnostic relationships for the brands listed above.
