Kerbed a wheel on the school run? Here are 2026 alloy refurb prices, standard vs diamond-cut, and when to buy new instead.
Standard alloys are painted a single colour. We strip, prime, colour-match and lacquer. A diamond-cut alloy has a machined face over a coloured base — a proper CNC lathe is needed to re-cut the pattern before lacquering. That is why it costs almost twice as much.
If the wheel is buckled, cracked or has structural damage, replace — never refurbish. A refurbished cracked wheel is a MOT failure and a safety risk. If the damage is cosmetic (kerbing, curbing, minor corrosion) refurbishment gives factory finish at a fraction of the cost of a new wheel.
Standard: same day if in before 10am. Diamond-cut: 24 hours (we send the wheels to a partner CNC bay). Full set: 48 hours.
Wheels come off, tyres stay on. We de-mount only if the damage is on the rim lip where the tyre seats.
Yes. We use the OEM colour code and match to a Spectrophotometer scan of a clean wheel.
We refurbish the extra set at the same time — 20% off the second set.
